Platinum Development Company was founded in 2004 by Chris Dawson. With more then 25 years of experience in the building industry, Chris has worked to develop a business founded on old fashion quality and customer service. He is excited to share his fresh design concepts and innovative craftsmanship with our clients.

Chris is proud of the Platinum Development Team he has built to work with the clients and vendors to create the custom home of your dreams!

Jay Cowan

VICE PRESIDENT OF cONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Jay has managed construction in the Des Moines metro for 30 years. He has expert experience in all facets of the construction process. With 10 years of experience in Land Development and 30 years of experience in Construction Management, ranging from large multifamily projects to large custom homes, he is knowledgeable and comfortable working with our clients from start to finish.

Throughout the 30 year construction career, Jay manages the construction process from the same viewpoint as Chris. This aligns well and assists Platinum Development be very efficient and streamline the process.

He appreciates working with a hard working and dedicated team that brings outstanding results to our clients.

Kristin Callahan

Design coordinator

Kristin has worked with Platinum Development since 2017. She is active in creating and managing the design schedule throughout the home building process.  Kristin works directly with vendors and trade contractors to produce accurate and complete plans and estimates.  This enables Platinum Development to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for our clients through each stage of their project.  There are many aspects of her work she is passionate about, including house plan design, monitoring the development of each home building project and helping to provide the perfect finishing touch.  What she enjoys the most about working with Platinum Development is helping our clients create their dream home.
